Virtual Reliability Manager – How to embrace remote monitoring for APC equipment
Remote Monitoring Platforms automatically and securely deliver critical real-time data to industrial plant personnel around the globe with cloud connected controls and sensors. This submittal reviews IoT advanced data analytics and Artificial Intelligence use in air pollution control (APC) industries:
• Maximize efficiency – aligns with corporate goals of increased automation
• Decrease energy consumption and operating costs through real-time optimization
• Assure Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance (HSE) through awareness and mitigation
• Provide ‘virtual’ equipment health checks
Two General Industry Case Studies will be highlighted:
1) Baghouse control and monitoring
2) Virtual silo management
Key findings from these Case Studies will be:
i. Reduction—unplanned outages eliminated
ii. Insights—mechanical failures predicted before occurrence
iii. Simplification—Ease of access from single dashboard
iv. Optimize—Fix it on the first trip
v. Error-free record keeping
Connected dust collectors and silos improve preventative and predictive maintenance in any industrial manufacturing plants. Cloud-based control systems can now remotely monitor not only dust collector conditions, but universally monitor emissions and airflow, check for vibration, detect humidity, high temperature or any other data set preferred, from anywhere on most any equipment around the globe.
This presentation will dwell on real-world examples of how various customers have taken advantage of this technology.
